Detailed Summary
Once upon a time, there was a young boy named Mario. Mario loved making friends and often boasted about the numerous friends he had. His grandfather, however, was skeptical about the authenticity of Mario’s friendships and decided to challenge him. He bet Mario a fruit chaat that many of his so-called friends were not true friends but mere acquaintances.
Mario, eager to prove his grandfather wrong, accepted the challenge. His grandfather then introduced him to a special invisible chair that had magical properties. The chair, when sat upon successfully, would reveal who his true friends were.
With determination, Mario took the invisible chair to school. During break time, he gathered his classmates and attempted to sit on the chair in the middle of a circle he had formed. After several failed attempts and much laughter from his classmates, Mario finally managed to sit on the invisible chair, suspended in mid-air.
At that moment, Mario realized the magic of the chair. He saw three classmates—Guneet, Asma, and Deepa—supporting him to prevent him from falling. These were his true friends who genuinely cared for him. On the other hand, many others whom he had considered friends were merely enjoying his struggles and falls.
Grateful for the lesson learned, Mario left with his three true friends and shared with them the wisdom imparted by his grandfather. They visited Mario’s grandfather to inform him of his victory in the bet and spent a joyous evening together, listening to stories and enjoying fruit chaat.
From that day onwards, Mario and his friends used the magic chair test to distinguish true friends from superficial ones. Those who passed the test and showed genuine care became lifelong friends, reinforcing the valuable lesson that true friends stand by us in times of need and do not derive pleasure from our misfortunes.
In this heartwarming tale, Mario learns the true meaning of friendship through a simple yet profound test devised by his wise grandfather. The story emphasizes the importance of genuine connections and mutual support in friendships, highlighting how shared experiences and care define true companionship.
